There is a variety of grants available to help you pay for your home energy improvements.
Up until 31st March 2021, the Green Homes Grant scheme proved a popular way of accessing Government support for energy improvement measures. However applications for vouchers under the scheme have now closed (although the voucher redemption period has been extended to 30 November). At the time of writing there has been no replacement.
Government Funding & ECO3
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) places legal obligations on energy providers to deliver energy improvements. The main focus is on improving heating and energy efficiency for low income and vulnerable households. The third scheme, ECO3, runs until March 2022 and has as it's central obligation, the Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO).
Qualifying Criteria - OFGEM provides a breakdown of the broad range of benefits and income thresholds which apply.
"LA Flex" and LOCAL AUTHORITIES
Local Authorities are authorised to apply some flexibility to the qualifying criteria for accessing energy improvement measures and this information will be set out in your Local Authority's "Statement of Intent" (SOI) - these vary according to the LA in which you reside.
